Well, technically it's called a wattle, and it's an anatomical feature common to both mummy dragon and Myuphrid himself.

Considering how bad he is at dragonslaying, his apparent career, the "filthy rich" explanation falls sort of flat.

Well, maybe. I did have one idea that he has an older brother named Adrian Daniel Ept who's basically everything a dragonslayer should become. Maybe he's just jealous.

Yup! Half of the infinity of the Multiverse has those wonderful firebeasts!

By the way, technically it's "alternate universe". A parallel universe would be the same as this one, just in a different place.
