It's also strangely reminiscent to the seizure that other Yinglet was having while singing those strange lyrics a few pages back.

Yea, could be a lot of things.
A lot of stuff can be the cause of sudden nosebleed and violent seizure.
Though, a lot points to something being wrong in the "attic"

I honestly find the whole transformation gag from the original comic a bit odd. Mass has to go somewhere. I mean if humans can get turned into Yinglets, what about the other races. For that matter can the opposite occur with Yinglets turning into humans or into other races.

It´s Valsalia´s fascination and is a partially pivoting point around the comic.
What does it for me is not the transformation part, but more his humor-style overall.

I agree, there is some "context/explanation regarding realism" missing In Val´s story. Where did the extra mass go? did it turn to dust? condensed somehow?

But I think it all has been made intentionally " or not yet explained " with realism in mind, and maybe we all just have to fill out the "buts" with a mix of self implied imagination and fantasy-insight to fill out the holes.
Its a fantastical world with giant talking insect people after all,
I put a lot of the questionable realism on the shelf myself, when fantasizing about Val´s world/races etc.

Val has made some crossings with other races! As well as yinglets turning to humans.
Look through his gallery, you should find them!
Alaso, many fans seems to like the idea of other races transformerd as well, try feeding the search engine with some good buzzwords :D
