Bowen, Avian Enigma (Ref sheet)

As I've discussed in the past , my homeworld has a certain nature that attracts creatures to it, be they magical creatures surviving a purge of mages, or someone emulating a god or goddess that recently stepped down and was offered a position in their old office as a successor.
And then there's these cases, where the planet draws simple wildlife from other worlds for reasons unknowable to any and drops them onto Sedd without concern or care. At even odder times, it could even result in what was a formerly feral (as in completely animal-brained) creature being given sapience and intelligence, becoming a "person" in all but body shape. Sapient ferals are commonplace here so often they don't stand out, but being suddenly imbued with intelligence does come with downsides here and there.
When I met this pretty yet surprisingly massive bird, he was running through my woods screaming his head off and grabbing the attention of everyone in sight, half in the middle of a panic attack and kicking up a dust storm I could see from the sky. When I swooped down to greet him, I scared the hell out of him (He told me dragons on his world often preyed on his species, whoops) and made him run even faster, until in a blitz of exhaustion and terror he slammed into a tree hard enough to break it clean in half and knocked himself unconscious. Not willing to let someone so terrified and panicked do so much damage to himself (not to mention the force of the speed he can run at presenting a threat to others) I scooped him up, took him home and saw to his recovery.
After he calmed himself down from waking up with a splint on his leg, and after freaking out more that a dragon had taken him back to its home and I assured him I wasn't going to eat him (temptation to do such being put aside) he asked me where he was, so I explained Vakkert Sedd's nature to him and what had happened to him. He looked confused and concerned and only just realized how much information his mind was able to process now, making clear to me he was "uplifted" in the way of being a fully sapient, thinking person in mind but still being an animal in body, when he was previously both of the latter.
He told me his name, given to him by his former owner, was Bowen. He was a creature called a Chocobo from a world I had never heard the name of, where they were often used as beasts of burden and mounts much like horses. Being a "draught" chocobo he was even bigger than most of his kind normally is and was being used as a cavalry mount for fighting. He doesn't remember what happened that led to him being taken to Sedd, likely due to the planet not wanting him to teach people how to come to this world uninvited, but was given his own sense of self after waking up, which immediately lead to extreme mental over-stimulation and kicked in his Flight response of his fight and flight instinct, hence finding him tearing through the forest wailing like a siren.
After taking plenty of time to make sure his leg was healed, and giving him a rundown of the nature and the threats of the world, he said he wanted to explore and think things out so I gave him some supplies and set him on his way, off into the big world to find out who he wants to be with his newly gifted intellect. He seemed anxious and uncertain but I'm sure he'll be okay out there, Sedd isn't -that- dangerous.
That, and I smelled extremely powerful astral magic on him for some reason, like he could pull down a comet if he had to.

I've always loved Chocobo, big warky friends who have been a staple of a series I've been into since my childhood. I'd had the idea to get one in the back of my head for the longest time and finally lucked out a while back when my boyfriend saw this adopt on Twitter with a design and color palette that I absolute adored. I have plans for this birb, naturally plans most of my viewer list knows but that's beside the point. Happy to add this feathered friend to my cast!
Bowen belongs to me!

Also no, you don't get to know which FF games' universe exists in the same one as Sedd
