That might be in part to the creature known as Plutaurnos, The Gilded Noose. They are cunning in their ploy to exploit humanities greedy tendencies. They ply you with as many riches as you can take, and the more they do, they more they tighten an invisible gold rope around your throat. Until you are choked to death by your own avarice. Afterwords Plutaurnos hordes your soul as yourself horded treasure. You'll be trapped in an every expanding vault of great wealth. There slowly you will be transformed into perhaps a gold coin, a shiny jewel or other item of pointless decadences. Afterwards you are in turn used by Plutaurnos to tempt another soul into giving into their materialistic ways. The cycle continues anew because humanity's craven desire to always want more...never ceases.
