I'm just hearing the transformer sound effect when she transforms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkdry54C0oU
Though i must admit my first exposure to transforming robot beauties was Firebird 2772 ❤️ these will always have a nice place in my heart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zFLm8bpAN8
yeah the snes version did not have the clothing getting torn off bit. and the ending it's what it is because.
i mean in that game the protaconist could literally do 3 things only.
- jump
- attack
- move (awkwardly)
i get it... they're robots... buuut... it's the first game where even the most basic enemies have a more elaborate moveset than the protagonists. 😅👍💖
i blame that on the fact they get their clothes torn, so they could not do much variations on the moveset. Talk about a game killed by its own gimmick 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Only the first one had that feature.
Since the disrobing severely impacted and limited how the protagonists would act and how they would move...
...all the sequels just had them acta and move as "generic super-powered humans #231847" showing as robots only when they died.
They lost the whole sense of robotic movement and "terminator" like effect, going for a more "natural" R.I.N.O. feeling (robots in name only).
That video above was from the video above is "Ninja Warriors" (made in 1987) zero move-set, you can do very little, but you do get disrobed upon being attacked which is actually an interesting reminder of your health bar. You cannot chose your character, with the kunoichi being just the player in slot 2 and differing from the other uniquely due to her ponytail and brass boobs when disrobed.
It was followed by the same-named "Ninja Warriors" (which was released in 1994 for SNES and is a sequel, not a remake) which is a sequel has moves the original never had (dashes, grabs, throws, slides, etc.) and you can actually choose your character instead of being two characters color coded. The entire gimmick was gone in favour of more mobility and the actual existence of a move-set. I suppose most people rejoiced except those who liked the initial game because it depicted actual robots that moved and acted like robots instead of superheroes who just happened to blow up in robot-y bits like some foot clan soldier.
And then "Ninja Warriors Once Again", which came out this year and is a modernised re-imagining of the 1994 sequel following the same plot-line but with even more extended move-set and "natural" movements (for a superhero) and and totally new characters. The... most robotic of these characters is a bouncy lady with lots of "jiggle physics" (totally normal for robots, oh, wait, no: it isn't it! It usually means the robot is falling apart 🤦♂️) and extensible hands which totally work like robots would have. </sarcasm>
Don't get me wrong i like superheroes who happen to be robots like the next guy, buuuut i liked the original for a gimmick which was seen as a fault apparently rather than its strongest point.

I can understand what you mean.
Maybe a remake of the original in needed, with a skill set, but with more realistic movements, maybe something more enhanced due to the mechanical nature of the characters. Stronger, faster, enhanced jump and such.
Itmakes me think of an Xbox game I really loved back in the day. "Terminator 3: The Redemption" in 2004 A third person shooter where you play as The Terminator, in missions if/when you take damage you lose clothes and skin, and theres varying degrees of damage.
The face for example, a little damage will give you cuts and a bit of blood, a bit of metal showing, more damage reveals more metal till, have your face is just endoskeleton with a single red eye showing. It was really cool.
o-o I miss the old days. :c
