"How can he not smash something?" stammered Offick.
He and Blutch were looking at the TV.
The live was showing a Chet who was now tall enough to step over the Everest without even noticing (and was actually doing it) and with muscles that, even proportionally, should have crushed him to death.
He was strolling around the world, crossing continents in barely a few steps, indeed not crushing anything (even though it should have been impossible too), and waving happily at the people who were microscopical to him now.
"I don't know, like I don't know how he's not asphyxiating at this altitude," muttered the scientist. "And I wouldn't be surprised if the spatial void didn't hurt him either..."
Indeed, the kaiju was visibly still growing taller and bulkier, and wouldn't be long to reach the void above.
"When is he going to stop growing?" asked Carl.
"I don't know," replied Cornelius.
"...Will he even stop growing eventually?"
"...I think so. That surcharge of Aleph-69 isn't limitless, and I doubt the gland is keeping up with the growth. In fact, from what I inferred from the check-ups and of theoretical experimentations, the gland is, even now, still delivering the same regular flow, no more. Once the surcharge is burnt off, he should shrink back to his normal dimensions."
"I hope so..."
And at the other end of the planet, Chet was just enjoying the growth...
