Hands: How do they work?
Hands! How do they work? It's something I think about a lot. For all the years I've spent doing art, I still struggle with making hands look like hands and not mangled monstrosities. Sometimes I have no problems, other times images can be delayed for eons why I figure out how to pose those bloody digits.
Anyways, this is a request for
sasta of their character Johnni. Although they did say they preferred an NSFW pic and those are a fine pair of melons, Sasta also mentioned the character is an artist and wanted something art related so I had this idea of her using her using her own hand as a model to work out how to draw the bloody awkward appendage.
The image is greyscale as the character reference provided was a line work drawing so I had no idea of her colours.
Pssssssss, if she was an eye searing red with a green patterns I would have done it greyscale anyway.
Also that is how I hold my stylus. I do have long nails so it is accurate. It does look really weird now that I've painted it.

Hands are rough! I'd say the furry artist who draws the best hands is Gorath. His stuff is worth studying.
It can be a total porn piece and I'll just immediately notice how the characters are holding each other.

In your picture the hand holding the pen is a little on the small side, but I think you did a good job here.
