So it's been a while since I've posted anything. There's a long story there but short end is college mixed with lots of doctor's appointments and pure depression :3. But anyways, back for a recipe or two. Just a classic tuna linguine. I'll be giving the recipe intended for doubling instead of single servings if that makes sense. So without further delay~.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup green onion(or a whole counter equal to 113g which is what I used)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon hot sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
1 (16oz/ 454g) package linguine
2(5 oz/ 142g) tuna, drained
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
Directions:
1) In a container, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, seasoned salt, sugar, hotsauce and green onion.
2) Stir.
3) Meanwhile, cook linguine according to the directions on the packet.
4) Once cooked, drain the linguine.
5) Add the linguine to the sauce mixture and toss lightly.
6) Add the tuna and the tomatoes.
7) Give a quick stir.
8) Chill and then serve.
Note: Feel free to substitute tuna for salmon or any other meat. I will say that I personally have made this recipe with both canned tuna and packaged salmon and taste about the same. Also a key thing to note is that the linguine can tend to try out the sauce, so I frequently end up putting more hot sauce to lubricate the linguine when I'm ready to eat it. Just food for thought.
Enjoy~
