The Great Mammoth was one of three final Warrior Beasts to see action at the end of the Great Mazinger/Mikene Empire War, the others been Gold Phoenix and Valkania, appearing on Episodes 55 and 56 of the Great Mazinger Anime – he was a massive Mammalian type Warrior Beast in the image of a Dark Grey Indian Parade Elephant with a Pink Underside and long curve tusks, with a red/light yellow eyes and yellow/green ornament plates on its forehead, and spikes on its fore knees, and golden and darker gray joints. Its principle abilities were largely around its trunk, were it could hold an enemy with and along with it size, pin them down. Its Elephant ears could fire a Laser Beam. Its brain was located on the Upper torso rider located on the beasts head – The Humanoid rider held a sword on the right hand, with the shield on the other, Its torso was purples, arms were white, with a yellow head with bull like horns, and long black hair.

Following the destruction of Golden Phoenix, The Warrior Beasts Valkania and The Great Mammoth were unleashed as a two stage attack on the heroes, Valkania dealing with Great while Mammoth with a contingency of Mikene and Catus Soldiers attacked the Photon Power Lab, while Demonika, with the entire Command structure on board, attacked the Science Fortress.

When Koji avoids the Mikenean Troops, he takes the Jet Pilder to blast the troops from the air, Great Mammoth comes out from the woods to attack and stops the Pilder from connecting with Mazinger Z. Because Tetsuya has been acting like a dick since Koji came back, Jun goes out on Venus to assist, Borot tags along to help. Tetsuya finally tags goes to action, but is taken down by a surprise attack from Valkania. Great Mammoth continues to bash Z and stop Koji from docking with it, at one point, the rider using its sword to rip Z's left arm off, but Missiles from both the Pilder, Venus, and Borot's distractions, help take the beast's attention away from Z, allowing Koji to dock with it.

As Mammoth deals with the three Mechas, and Great destroys Valkania and is pin down by the Demonika Battleship, Prof. Kabuto launches the Great Booster to rescue, first succeeding, but stopped by the Demonika, which then attempts to crush Great with its own Weight. Kabuto orders an evac of the Fortress and takes off along with the command Tower, launching it in a kamikaze attack on Demonika, saving Great, Damaging Demonika, but gravely injuring Kabuto. Sayaka inform Koji of the events, and in his grief, musters his strength and rage through Mazinger – he grabs Great Mammoth, and tosses over twice, one falling over Borot (who got buried in the fight), then blast his shield off with Drill missiles. Mammoth fires with its laser beam, but Koji avoids it, then uses Freeze Beam on Mammoth, ceiling it on ice. Koji then tosses Mammoth one last time (again over Borot) and uses Iron Cutter, before dispatching the Beast with the Rocket Punch – the fire from the blast pretty much burning the buried Borot. Koji then takes off to retrieve his gravely wounded father and speak with him one last time.
