I can post this here right?
This is my Halo Elite fancharacter Antak Koadamee doing what elites do best and wasting some poor UNSC marine. In a way, Antak was somewhat of a riposte to what I saw on dA, which was hundreds of people creating sangheili fan characters who were good-guys through and through. Invariably high-ranked sword-wielders, they were never so foolish as to believe in the theocratic religion of the Covenant. Antak is not this. Antak was a fanatic who threw himself into battle to kill the infidels, confident in the protection of the divine. When the great schism happened, Antak's world fell apart. Despite his opposition to humanity, he is essentially Lawful Good, believing that everything he did in butchering people was good and moral. Facing the truth cut to the core of his being. He was only able to take up arms again after being convinced that now it was his people, rather than his faith that needed him.
Alas, Halo's become so cringey since Bungie walked that I haven't really maintained Antak unfortunately.

reminds me of Sol in a way, though he had his own standards when it came to "hunting humans"
I don't think I recognise the name Sol? Where was he from?
Sol 'Vasuran, a Halo Sangheili OC of mine. Ended up having to make a whole new world and slightly different culture that was on the far fringes of the Covenant Empire, a tad remote really. He was a ranger, and then fucked that up.
I played Halo 4 but it made me mad, it was like bad fanfiction. As if they got that "Is your character a Mary Sue?" quiz and just walked Master Chief through it, making sure to hit everything. They also turned the Elites from the martial, sophisticated, respectable enemy culture into slobbering, angry space-monster #7031.
Ah sounds cool, do you have a link to a picture of him? I joined this site a few hour ago and I'm still shuffling around figuring things out. Thanks for the watch too, I shall watch you back! :D
Hmm...I believe so, but that's in my DA stash, let me link you here! https://sta.sh/01on6x7z2ewv and here https://sta.sh/026hnmwelgf4
Ah cool, I like the tattoo designs, it seems like a fitting thing for a tribal warrior culture like theirs. The staff is cool too, kinda resembles the Halo 2 honour guards. One of the novels tried to introduce some idea about the Sangheili thinking that having your blood shed was a big disgrace. I couldn't accept that at all, no-one in any era went off to battle or heck, even to train for battle without taking a few hits.
Thanks, in fact that's what he was based off of. Sol and the clan he belonged to more or less reverted to that life style due to their remoteness with seeing the odd ball trader here and there. So the idea of being a big game hunter plays into the character, so the idea of say killing a "Demon" would be a high honor and mark.
I wanted something other than a sword since every Sangheili OC had a sword.
HAh, right? I think it was blood shed in battle is what they meant originally, not sure.
now I'm thinking what a Sangheili-cario hybrid would look like
cario-heili?
