The Flathead is widely used by all Unison Factions except the Trak and Tyrannicon for relatively obvious reasons. It is a dedicated Explosive-payload delivery Vessel or Torpedo Boat. Designed by a combined resarch team from Steeltech, TWI and Shadowside Orion Industries, the vessel is a bulky, heavy ship that travels slow but has heavy enough armor and shields to survive runs on even the strongest of vessels. It is 32 meters in length. It is armed with 2 front facing torpedo tubes that can launch any explosive ordnance but the common payload are diamond Quartite Tipped nuclear Torpedos which are covered in a coating which negates shields. It has 3 twinbarreled Autocannons turrets on the top and a fourth on the exact bottom. It has 2 front facing laser cannons for targets in front of it that fire slow but powerful shots, these cannons can also move 50 degrees from their frontal position to follow targets as the Flathead isn't exactly a dogfighting ship. The ship is flatish and has a crew of 6. 2 pilots 2 load observers, 1 person who oversees the turret and other weapons targeting and 1 engineer. The vessel flies in squadrons of 3 and 4 squadrons make a Wing. It has a twin engine system.
