The first Liberation Design for the Alliance, simply known back then as the Alliance Gunboat, served as the Aliiance of Free Universes bombardment ship for longranges throughout the Transuniversial Wars, The Tyrannicon War and the first Droid War. The ship was first developed as a marketing Corporate Agreement between Corellian Ship Builders and Steeltech and has remained a very iconic ship design, paving as the prototype to the new Liberation Designs. The ship is small for the current age but in its day it was a large Gunboat design at 150 meters in length. It has 16 very heavy longrange ballistic cannons on its sides, 8 for each side. It has 4 of the same designed cannons fixed on the front which can move up or down depending on where the target is. It has 2 front blasters on the sides of the cannon for added protection. The ship has 8 engines, 6 on the back tail and one each on the side wings. It has 47 antiship and fighter turrets dotted aroung the top and bottom of its haul along with a single doublebarreled heavy turret on the front. The ship is still used by the Alliance even tho it is severely outdated now because of the Liberation MK3. The ship acts as fleet saturation or simple patrol along outerrim universes in places that a real military presence isn't much needed at the time. Along with this, it is used alot by Empires and Nations under the protection of the Alliance of Free Universes as a Military ship. It is also popular with pirates and mercenaries and many Independent Empires for its reliable defenses. Its shear amount of firepower makes it possibly the strongest ship of its small size that is from the Old Age.
