Ah Caspian. Somehow, he worries me more than perhaps any of your other antagonists, at least the ones I've met so far. He's certainly one of the most powerful, if I recall correctly, and perhaps the one least likely to show any restraint in getting what he wants. He certainly doesn't seem to have any sense of fair play if this and the preceding page are anything to go by, but then again I suppose that's kind of what it takes to sneak into a place that's filled with powerful spellcasters who aren't likely to be pleased to see you.
It's nice to see that Rowan wasn't hurt, though. Whatever else the Talwyn might be, they do seem to be quite resilient!

Back when the series was intended to be only four parts, he was planned to be the final and ultimate villain. When the prequel stories and comics started to be developed I began to try to think of how he would have worked himself into the narrative and his overall plan formed in my mind. You're right in that he's probably the most powerful figure in the universe so far, given that his power is undiluted unlike the other Talwyn. Caspian at this point in his story sees his goals as the only ones worth caring about, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make them happen.
