Oh, you mean the pretty girl curled up in the back of the wagon? Nope, can't say I've ever seen her!
Someone definitely needs to work on his ability to lie, I think. His guilt is written plainly on his face, and I'm kind of surprised Weathers didn't press him further. Chalk it up to luck, I guess. Though something tells me that Rhodes is gonna rake him over the coals just a little for his impulsiveness in letting Diana hide out with them, too.
I'm so used to thinking of them all as such close friends that it's kind of fun to go back and see them before they got to know each other. It's always fun to see how fast companions like they are got to that point, and to get a little glimpse of everyone when they are, more or less, just starting out. Plus Ermine does such amazing work, it's just a lot of fun to see all the detail she puts into these pages, too!

Ethan is a terrible liar, but at the same time he's so genuine Weathers probably thinks he's just clueless. Added to Rhodes credibility he's likely not seeing anything odd figuring Ethan couldn't lie his way out of a paper bag. Of course, Ethan can lie to some folks but not anyone he really knows. Withholding information, he does much better.
At this point he and Rhodes have been together a good period but it's just been the two of them. Rhodes and Ethan are what I would qualify as the kind of friends who can tease each other and have each other's back but Rhodes will call Ethan out on things. Of course, the story begins here because when Diana joins the group, everything shifts. :) It's fun to know where they'll end up in the future and see where they started. I'm so lucky I got Ermine for the start of this, I only wish she'd been able to continue!
