Hey Guys, it be the 3rd one for the month today! Decided to go for a personal favorite besides the Seduction
this time. Something more vibrant, smokey, smooth, and agile. It be the Ninja.
Gurkha Ninja Knife Robusto:
Wrapper Brazilian Maduro
Binder: Dominican Criollo
Filler: Nicaraguan/Dominican
Pre-Light/Construction:
From the first glance at these bad boys, the box was simple, but only to untrained eye could there be something more than what appears. Simple and yet a striking look for a Maduro. Very oily and a bit toothy from the touch. The scent was very woody and strong in pepper. Silent, but deadly they would say. Veins were medium and the seems were blended in real well from the oil. Let's unleash this deadly assassin. :D
The Burn Part 1:
From the first few puffs were a calm pepper note. Something that doesn't come often from the start. Very heavy, but in a calm sense this black pepper was paving the way. The woody notes came in after the 3rd puff. The woody notes were not like any. More like a fire cured version, but more relaxing. It felt like being in a warm cabin on a cold winter's night. The further the inch goes down there is a bit of a coffee note that comes to pass. Right at the end too which is good timing.
The Burn Part 2:
With the new coffee notes coming into play with the wood and pepper, a bit of change came to the pepper. It got more and more powerful. There seemed to be a bit of leather note coming in as well. The wood notes became more vibrant from the retro hale and the scent. It was very calm still, but the body was slowly building up. Little did I know something was about to strike.
The Burn Final:
By this time the pepper came in even stronger and mainly got the lead upon the rest. The wood notes started to fade away a bit while the coffee notes surprisingly stayed the same. The surprise leather notes were on the same level with the coffee until after the next few puffs. Sort of vanished. Like being killed in a flash and there would be a blurred vision of a ninja passing you by before you die. That deadly. With the final few puffs, the last thought that went through my head was, "Stealthy Motherfucker."
Verdict:
I will admit, there were no Perfecto sizes, which were the ones I wanted to do. They sold out.
This was a fair trial to them and the closest to them I could get, but still. It was strong, fast, and deadly. If you are brave enough for something like this, then grab a few. They are great for the wallet, and a nice stick with a good bourbon.

Where do you suggest getting cigars from, I've been wanting to try these. Although, I normally shop at Pipe and Cigars online or via a local Specs.
