Physical Description: A vixen of average build with all white fur. Her hair is light blonde.
Biographical Data:
Isabelle Sheridan held an interest in the craft from a young age. As a child she found a fascination with the different abilities the users of the crystals could wield. When she grew older she developed an ambition to become one of the twelve Talwyn masters and devoted all of her efforts to that goal.
When she reached 17 she was accepted into the Academy and subsequently the Tower's training program. Working her way through the ranks she eventually became one of the front runners for the water master. However, when Lucas chose Lauren she was selected to assume the mantle of the ice master.
Working beside Lauren on many of their missions the two began as rivals though in time they found themselves to be an effective team. Isabelle often carries out missions for the Talwyn government with her fellow masters. She is an excellent fighter and has mastered the skill of crafting incredibly detailed objects out of ice.
Personal Statement
"My name is Isabelle Sheridan. From the moment I knew what they were I wanted to be a Talwyn master. As an only child I knew the meaning of focus. Every waking moment was dedicated to this goal. I was determined to earn my way into the Academy and the Tower. I made my way past any number of rivals to the top spot for the position I wanted, the Talwyn water master.
Along the way I became rivals with a zebra who seemed to have a unique relationship with Lucas. She and I constantly competed for the position, but when he chose her over me I was shocked to say the least. At first I thought my ambition had been wasted. To my surprise, the ice master who was also stepping down to pursue other interests chose me instead. For some time I resented Lauren for it, but the war left little time for such petty emotions. After a while she and I came to respect and even rely on each other for our lives.
I see now that the universe simply had a different plan for me than I'd thought. While I'd expected my purpose would be to lead from the front I find I serve my people best as their protector. I'm a fighter and a warrior, and it is in this way I can do the most good. Others who don't know when or how to fight need someone to keep them in one piece. Let Lauren carry out the president's orders. I'll keep her in one piece while she does."

I've always quite like Isabelle. Given her rather, well, chilly personality and how driven she is, I'm not sure she and I would get along terribly well, but I can certainly respect desire to protect people and her ambition to become a Talwyn master. I certainly don't blame her for feeling a bit snubbed for not being chose to master of the water discipline, though personally I find ice to be a somewhat more interesting choice anyway.
I can certainly see her as someone who Deirdre would respect. Again, they might not get along so well, given that Deirdre doesn't get along terribly well with most people, but her drive and her desire to help others would certainly resonate with Deirdre, I think. As would her no-nonsense approach.
I really like this picture of Isabelle, and the pretty ice rose she's holding. TiedTigress did a gorgeous job with her!

Isabelle has always been one of the more focused of the current set. She doesn't let it blind her to the greater issues but once she's determined to do something it takes a lot to dissuade her from completing her objective. While initially she would have preferred to have been chosen for water, later on she finds ice to be more to her liking anyhow, though the matter does continue to be a point of friendly rivalry between the two.
Odds are they would probably have a similar friendly competition between each other, but I think Isabelle would probably end up sparring with her for fun since I'd imagine Deirdre doesn't go in for the traditional forms of recreation. Another thing I expect they have in common.
I gave the artist a choice between an ice rose and an ice sword. She chose the former, which I was kind of hoping she would. ;) Creating such a realistic likeness of a real world object would require a lot of skill.

I love this character. It's awesome to see a fox who's portrayed as so tough and no-nonsense, instead of the airhead bimbo stereotype that seems to still be everywhere. 'Course, I think I've seen enough of your characters to know you're not the sort to go down that particular route, but it's refreshing nevertheless. Love the ice sculpture rose she's holding, and the uniform looks really cool on her. She really is a gorgeous vixen, too.
I've never been a fan of tropes or stereotypes. While I may have indulged in a few I try to take them in ways not often seen. For a long time I'd avoided foxes altogether just due to their overuse (not due to any personal dislike) but everyone used foxes. When Isabelle came together she was one of those characters that started small but grew much more distinct and relevant as time went on.
The ice rose really is kind of an indication that though she is a fighter, she has other aspects to her as well, and it's something only those close to her really get to see. ;)

This is a great character. Isabelle certainly has a Mars-like attitude--a soldier's attitude. In fact, much of Isabelle's character and job seems to fit the description of Mars in Cancer in Vedic Astrology. Cancer represents the home and family and loved ones. Mars is debilitated in that house but he is the significator of that house; like a soldier protecting his homeland from enemies just like how Isabelle is in the comic. Cancer's element is water but what is even more interesting is that in Native American astrology, both Cancer and Libra are associated with water but Cancer is specifically ice--just like Isabelle's magic power. Oh, yes, Mars also has a temper on him just like she does! This is one of the reasons why I really like your comics so much. I am into spirituality and Iridescence touches some of these topics. I also like Journeys and Sunsets Edge too! Keep up the good work!
PS I would never ask a woman her weight! Too polite for that! Ha! Ha!
