Interesting, the remark about humans getting things done more effectively. I recall that Jack is unusually intelligent for a construct, that much of the construct population is a bit dim and frivolous.

Yes, the comparatively easy life on Earth has bred complacency in both the nonhumans and to some extent the humans. Life in the City of Ice (when the humans controlled it) was harsh and very competitive. By Jack's time, however, most of the people who came of age there are long gone, and the generations raised on Earth are not nearly as ruthless.

That line "You do now who I'm friends with don't you?" While I know she means it in a political power kinda way, it almost seems like she knows that Jack is a killer. It's almost like she saying "You don't want Him to pay you a visit do you?"

Fantastic story and really great artwork. Kept my attention throughout.

This is late, but I want you to know that you did an excellent job. Speaking as someone who has enjoyed your work since I first found it in the early 2000s, I hardly even recognized this as your work, and I mean that in the best way possible. I liked your earlier style, but you've grown and improved SO much as an artist. Keep working. You'll never be fully satisfied, because perfection is impossible, but the good news is that means improvement is also functionally infinite. :)

Almost seems like Simone is pretty clueful as to what's really going on, but she's old and she likes Salem so she doesn't GAF. She seems to have her own vicious streak.
