Question - I've been playing the piano for 14 years, but I've never come across a double treble clef symbol like you've used here. I take it simply means 'to be played an octave higher than normal treble clef' (but then, you've got a '8va' thing going on too, so what's that about?)

You got it :) It's meant to be played 3 octaves up, that was the only way I could force Sibelius to do my bidding.
