Two weeks after the events of My Little Pony : Eclipse , Lauren and her team assume the new duty of standing guard over Equestria. It's first line of active defense, they function primarily at night under the auspices of Princess Luna. A new department under the oversight of Omega Directive, Lauren commands her team aboard the airship consisting of Earth ponies, Pegasi, unicorns, and one zebra.
Taking place nominally during the events of season 5, their mission is to protect the princesses and the land from internal and external threats.
"Redemption" - Omega Directive takes Aileron, Diamond Sky, and Red to Dark Moon Prison with their first prisoner, Obsidian. Meanwhile, on a routine inspection of Cloudsdale, Sunset Shimmer must face her first command and her first threat without the rest of the team.

Why thank you! MLP is one of those series where I can see a lot of places I'd like for it to go, and since they focus so much on Ponyville, my story can complement theirs while not stepping on any toes. I always thought that the majority of Equestria and the supporting cast is an untapped resource, best utilized with my signature style of story arcs, ensemble casts, and multiple plot threads, so here's me applying my style to it.
You and me both. Heck, even with one of my original 'plans' for a story ( I could never find enough 'help' to push through with it. I'm dumb like that. xP) for attempting prediscordian, let alone pre-Celestia time lines, got a mini praise for attempting it!

What was your idea? Was it that you didn't have any feedback or do you mean something else by help?
I find that most people have a hard time straddling the uncanny valley of fanfiction, where it uses the series setting but doesn't quite manage to hit the mark, I admit I'm a bit picky but with my own attempts I made sure wherever possible to make ties to the main series, defy as little canon as possible, and still craft a story that tells a good tale. All the decisions I've made are based off of either things that I've seen or inferences I can make from the series. One of the topics I aim to address is alicorn OC's. The series does not provide a mechanism per se for these to make sense. So far we've only seen 3 and all were princesses. No mention has been made of their origin or if there are more, or if there are males, how long they live, etc... Twilight's ascension to princess, originally a decision I contested, provided a mechanism to elaborate on the mythology, which I've coined alicogenesis. A fifth princess actually factors into my storyline however thus far I've been hesitant to allow alicorn OC's for the above stated reason. Twilight opened the potential door, but again, alicorns are definitely high powered characters and as such, limited use. Nevertheless, I hope to use them wisely.

As you can tell, it is kind of unification/preunification times. In fact, one of my friends I was talking to I kind of summed it up as a SoL/comedy/adventure kind of thing, with a .. heh. Really large "F*ck you" ending to the readers. If anything so that I may think of a sequel. (Which is actually really bad practice.) In terms of 'help' though It's more that I didn't have anyone to really bounce ideas back and forth. That kind of thing.

For a two year period after my breakdown I didn't, but I had been before and am back up pretty much to where I was before now. I've got enough projects to keep me busy for a while. My problem was that I pushed too hard, took on projects in too large of a mental chunk at a time, and so on.
While generally I haven't done many fanfics, MLP is the sort of universe that I can see the potential to do some really mind blowing stuff. I'd like to do story arcs, introduce some new villains, and see where it goes, hopefully to the conclusion of the 'third' season.
