Spade idle v1.9

Well, this here is just a quick animation to show what I have been up to... at least, what I have been up to that can be related to a furry art site. This is the military peepit, spade, again, but he has been redone using a better animation program by the name of spriter.
I say it is version 1.9, because frankly, though I wanted to share this animation in it's complete form, which is smooth as silk, I am still learning the ins and outs of image exporting. So a relatively clunky .gif animation will have to do for now.
As for the animation itself, it's a pretty basic "Idle" animation for the character, who isn't having any luck keeping his helmet adjusted.
I'll be working on computer animation in the fall semester, which will focus primarily on 3D modeled work, but I will be able to use the knowledge to help me piece together this game... or at the very least, get a full portfolio of animated sprites, should I have extreme difficulty with the game engine.
... I've considered doing kickstarter, patreon, etc. to give myself more funding to hire help, buuuuuut... until I am sure I can make a finished product, I am wary to ask for other people's money. so yeah, lots of animation experimentation with me lately, with this simple gif as a bit of my work.
Other animations will be alternate idle animations for prolonged idling, walking, running, jumping, shooting, getting hit, blocking, and a number of custom animation for plot based elements. But that's getting ahead of myself... at this point I am happy to have a fully fleshed out single animation... it should be downhill from here, since now that I have a solid prototype, it's just chugging away with the remaining work.

"spriter"? is that part of a unity package? or something else?
Spriter was given to me as a gift by my Fiance, when he stumbled across it in a steam sale for 15 dollars... Sure, not the most professional way of finding "Professional" software, but so far, it has proved easy to use, has good tutorial support, and seems quite effective.
http://www.brashmonkey.com/ ... That should link you up to the program if you want to take a look, and heck, its got a simple little trailer too, so it couldn't hurt.
Regarding an actual true game engine like unity... I would have to say my first goal is getting Spade's sprite sheet 100%... once that is complete, I will be hunting for a game engine that can handle my needs. My room mate, Typhin, was a professional programmer before was disabled, and she has wanted to make a video game for a long time... so I am handling visuals, and she is running programming.
Of course, with the real time scaling and rotation, I've considered it's use in transformation art too;) but I am trying to build a more mainstream project this time 'round.
