Last year I saw the Yelvis video and song on YouTube and it's bothered me ever since. So I drew up this cartoon, and decided to try my hand at coloring it in my computer. It might not be up to snuff compared to the work of some of my contemporaries, but what the heck? It's a start. Now what's all this business about "Layers?"

It's kind of like those toys with the mirrors reflecting lights onto another 2 way mirror, or an old label off a can of Bonzo Dog Food. It just kind of goes on forever with the "Infinite Fox."

I had to check your web page to see what your Icon was all about. Anyway, Mr. Foxy really isn't that talented when it comes to drawing, although the design he holds would make a dandy Stained Glass Window. Do you think it's kinda "Zen" if Mr. Foxy draws me? Kinda like a Dream within a Dream.

Actually I was trying to make the box of 8 markers look like set I lost when I had to move out of Oakland. But you know? I'd always get so jealous of the other children in my Grade School who'd show up the first day in class with that "Magical" 108 color set with the sharpener in the back. Not because they had more crayons, but more because I wanted to read and try the weirdly named colors. Like... Vermilion, Magenta, Tuscan Red, Raw Sienna, Tangerine, and Midnight blue. Blush Pink? Pink was for Girls...! (Then I found out later how important a touch of Pink can be.)

While I was coloring this image I fancied drawing more cartoons featuring the other "Fox" sound effects. For example Millie Kissing Foxy and the old Vulpine saying "A-Hoo-wee-Huk! A-Hoo-wee-Huk!" Or "Muse" Dancing to "Haw-Tee, Haw-Tee, Haw-Tee!"

LOL! I couldn't help but recall that commercial where people are teasing Camels in an enclosure about it being "Hump Day." I can only suggest wearing a big badge, baseball cap or T-shirt that proclaims "I'm a Coyote! -Canis Latrans, get it?" But I fear the fans might start insisting on handing you lit dynamite or other "Rude" stuff. I agree with you because I respect coyotes, and now that I'm out in the Inland Empire I often miss the songs of the local pack that used to sing in the ravine up in the hills above Pasadena.

Now i have an image of a quartet of coyotes mels, hangin' out on the street corner, combing their head-fur, singin' doo-wop, and howling at the coyote femmes walking by.

Sittin' on the COR-NER, Watch-in' all the Lady Coyotes trot by... Is there a distinctive name for a female coyote? The closest thing I can think of is "Trouble."

Yo... Ain't Dat Da' Trooth? I've heard of female wolves being referred to as "Louvre", (Like the big museum in Paris. The actual old English root translates to "Lover.") Heck... I'm going to consult with some of my Coyote fan friends to see if they've got something better than plain old, "Bitch." (Gah. it makes my fingertips hurt typing that word.)
