I used to enjoy watching "Ol' Stone Face" in his movies from the early part of the 20th Century. (Did you know he was missing three fingers off one hand? I forgot which, and he also did his own stunts.) I ought to watch "The big store" as the roller skating scene is great for laughs. Either that or "Safety Last.." (Wait. I believe that was a Harold Loyd feature.) Anyway, the old films are a great way to get a look at how American life was like in the 1920s and pre depression 30s. The images on the NY historical photo archives are great, but few of them move.
