I don’t claim to have knowledge of mega evolutions, but I think that it ruined the world of Pokémon. … No, it’s not what you think! Mega evolution is awesome and all that jazz, but its side affects are horrible! What!? You haven’t heard of side effects!? Well you’re lucky they ruined my world! And if you don’t believe me, read the story below; it will tell you about all of the horrors that mega evolution brought to my world!
************************************************************************
I was the top trainer in the world, defeated the champions of the world like nothing, and I felt good! On top of that I only did it with one Pokémon, my trusty partner Lucario. I had raised him from an egg to his Riolu stage up till he became the most powerful Pokémon ever. Before the incident we were good friends and we knew we could never take on everything alone. Or so we thought but my professor, whose name I forgot a long time ago, discovered something that could power Lucario to something unimaginable at the time. It was called mega evolution, and that’s where everything started to go downhill.
As a child I was quite eager to test it out and decided to try it right away. So of course I rummaged through the grass for a bit and eventually a Pokémon attacked me. So I sent out Lucario and the two fought for a bit as I started the process of trying to get Lucario to evolve. When I figured out the process I began and after a fabulous display of light and other things Lucario had changed into his mega form. I was so excited the first time I saw it that I hugged Lucario in the middle of the battle. It wasn’t a problem though because Lucario defeated the Pokémon in one move after he evolved. Not understanding the concept of mega evolution, I was unaware that Lucario was meant to return to his previous form after the battle. And that night we went out to celebrate and everything seemed to go up hill from there.
The two of us started winning battle after battle, we were making huge advances in every area of the Pokémon world. It was subtle at first, but after each battle he won Lucario began to grow just the slightest amount; I brushed it off as a side affect of mega evolution. I first took notice when he was a whole head taller than me. I was unconcerned though, and we both kept enjoying our incredible streak. Eventually, I beat the champion of my region and Lucario had grown to the size of probably an average adult. I was though enthusiastic about the prospect of more battles that I went on a journey with Lucario all across the, defeating everyone who had a Pokémon and was willing to challenge us. When all was said and done, I was the greatest trainer ever and Lucario was probably the size of a tall tree.
I was satisfied of our position in life as the ultimate team, but Lucario had been consumed by power lust. He dragged me on a quest to defeat all of the legendary Pokémon of the world, which was actually pretty fun and eventually we had beaten all of them. Lucario was standing on the edge of the mountain, overlooking the world in his now massive probably 100-foot form. I was standing next to Arceus who we had just defeated and I heard him start to arouse. He warned me about Lucario and told me that unless I did something that he would get out of hand and then collapsed or something. Of course I brushed off his warning and had Lucario carry me down the mountain. That night, we set up camp deep inside of a forest and I fell asleep by his side, as he was deep in thought.
I was given the wake up call of my life later that night when Lucario had made up his mind on what he was thinking about. I wasn’t the master anymore, he was. The first thing I felt when I woke up was Lucario’s paw settling on my body with only my head sticking out. “Lucario what are you doing?” I asked chuckling. “Quiet! I’m tired of helping someone inferior to me, it’s about time that you started serving me.” He growled as his toes clenched around me. I was scared out of my mind Lucario was huge! One of his toes was bigger than my whole body! He brought his paws together and began to smother me between them. “I am your master now! You shall worship me like I deserve and you will worship whatever I tell you to!” His toes released me and I crashed onto the ground.
He stood up and completely dwarfed me. “You shall worship my feet as if they are your gods and not me! Now kiss them!” He lifted his paw above me. “Unless you’d rather get crushed.” I began to grovel at his feet, trembling like the legs of a newborn horse. “Y-yes my god!” I said instinctively. I looked up at his towering dirty feet. There was a thick lair of dirt coating them, and the sweat glistened on the gleam of the still roaring fire. Reluctantly, I gave it the smallest kiss I could and I reacted extremely badly. Needless to say, Lucario was not amused. “Hm. Just like a thought; even my toes are too godly for you.” He grabbed me in his hand and I began to tremble. “I’d crush you, but my time with you has made me fond enough of you to spare you. But that doesn’t mean you can’t learn to worship me like the god I am.” Lucario forced my now comparably smaller body between his toes and I couldn’t seem to escape because of his size. “That’s your home for now on, and the only time you’ll leave is when I take you out to worship me.” Those were the last words I heard Lucario say.
From there, everything went downhill for my world. Lucario started to act on his own. Any trainer or Pokémon he met he would crush under foot and make him grow more as usual. But the growths were bigger now. Within a week, Lucario was truly Mega in power and size. He was big enough to return to the town we first met and crushed all of the houses and living things their. He was so efficient in his destruction that the only thing left where the down once stood was his dirty paw prints and some gravel. It was horrifying to watch, and it scars me to this day. After that, he grew bolder. The destruction had made him grow considerably and he was big enough now to rampage through whole cities with no force being able to stop him. After each city he destroyed, he grew bigger and stronger. Pretty soon, even the tallest buildings in the world would crumble to dust and his feet.
There was nothing the world could do as Lucario slowly destroyed all signs of civilization. And once everything was gone, he couldn’t even see the ground anymore. His feet basically covered the planet and took up the entire hemisphere. He didn’t say a word, he just crushed the home of billions of creatures and himself between his paws like it was nothing. The planet just turned into complete dust, save a few chunks that ended up between his toes and were completely absorbed by his toe jam. I didn’t think it could get any worse from there, but it did. The planet gave him his biggest growth and surge of power yet. To him, it was exhilarating. To the rest of the universe it was the beginning of the end.
And now Lucario roams the known and unknown universes destroying anything you see. Including solar systems, planets, galaxies, and even the occasional world he could set foot on. Anything that was a live he’d eventually destroy with his feet. Everything in existence was now inferior to him. Everything he met was unworthy to live as long he was alive and only one being has seen him and lived… me. I guess our time together wasn’t for nothing; after all I’m still alive. It’s more likely that he just forgot about me, and if he ever felt me I’d share the same unfortunate fate of everything in existence. Now I just wait for my appointed time to come. I cringe at all of the horrible fates I could have. I probably won’t get crushed anytime soon, somehow I avoid being crushed no matter what happens. The smell of his feet will probably kill me eventually. Or a chunk of planet or something he crushes could end my existence. Or his feet could just get sweaty and I’d drown in a drop of his sweat. No matter my fate one thing is certain, that I will have some foot related death. If you read this and scoff this off as some stupid work of fictional literature, you’ll be in for a nasty surprise when Mega Lucario’s paw comes and crushes the life out of your planet. I know one thing that’s certain for everything, we will die under Lucario’s foot.
