229 manages to scramble away while Pyrite is distracted, bred to be military 229 is far less prone to distractions and knows far more survival skills than the domestic Pyrite.

Also to note, Pyrite IS a domestic she wasn't bred for this sort of thing so she's much heavier and far less agile than 229 was, she weighs about 4 pounds, where as 229 only weighs about 1.5. that added weight doesnt do her any favors when 229 loosened the bolts on the air vent the last time he was in the medical bay.

The spines she's using are hers under her fur, they act like blowfish spines that can be extended at will and most domestics still have them for self defense. They are also toxic. Pyrite is breaking them off and using them as weapons.
