Woooo, I've been on a writing tear the last couple of days. I hadn't intended to post this until next weekend, but... I just gotta put this up here! This chapter contains The Tunnel Rat's first experience with FOY water and we finally get to see how all this affects our Hero.
Note: Brock's experience is how I imagine seeing the world through young eyes, hearing it through young ears, and experiencing it with a young body would be like if one were to revisit that age again after having all our senses dulled by growing up.
***WARNING 1*** this story contains baby-furs and age regression, but is very tastefully done. Diapers are involved, but not dwelt upon, as they are ultimately incidental to the story as a whole.
***WARNING 2*** this story is not a particularly happy one, and takes Brock to some very dark places. It deals with issues of specism (i.e. racism), depression, suicide, and violence. Little Furs will find themselves in hazardous situations, and some of the events which take place may be shocking to some readers.
Enjoy the journey! Brock

When our hero was regressing, he felt his mind going into a fog, he felt himself losing control of his mental faculties, and he fought against it. I am an epileptic. If you aren't familiar with what that is, it means I have seizures. Before I have a seizure my mind goes into a haze; random words populate in endless streams throughout my thoughts that aren't coherent or remembered, my head buzzes, my breath draws in, all in all it is an extremely horrifying and unnerving experience. Every time my mind goes into that haze, the first step, I try so hard to fight against it because it terrifies me so much. That explanation from Brock really struck a chord with me because it reminded me of that so much. I imagine if FOY existed that I'd likely fight against that feeling, that I'd end up like him with a completely adult and competent mind.
Despite that his emotions and reaction to stimuli were childish. That was a really endearing and excellent touch. Despite his refusal to lose himself completely, he can still enjoy the benefits of childish curiosity, emotion and wonder. I think that's a very good trade off for his self control keeping him adult a bit.
Sorry to hear about your epilepsy. I imagine that must be terrifying.
Also, I like the line about the "blocks being lonely".
Cute chapter Brock I'm so enjoying your story so far! ^^
