Missed the original deadline by a mile, apologies for that, life getting busy, as well as getting in my own head and not taking my own advice of just writing something, even if it's bad.

Weather here is starting to turn for the better, which had more of an impact on my mood than I thought, and life is calming down a bit now, hopefully I reckon I'll be in the headspace to finish what i started now and return to this project.

I want to temper expectations a bit more this time, and perhaps only aim for a chapter roughly every two weeks, though I will aim to exceed that when I can, which should give a timeframe between late april and june for the final chapter.

Also while I initially wanted to avoid doing like "chapter 5.5" for example due to it feeling kinda cheaty considering I have already promised a firm 10 chapters, I have found myself wanting to restructure a bit, so may have a few half chapters in the future, though hopefully this will be the only one. I must remind myself that I am still treating these chapters as drafts for now, and not to be too precious about getting them perfect first try.

Also just as a footnote if anyone's reading this, create something to create it! Don't wait for permission, don't put your creations down, don't expect perfection and success. To create is to be alive, and in the face of AI, rebel by making something for yourself, for others to see, to share. Whether one or millions will see, create something to create it!
Remember you are alive, and to be alive is to express yourself however you can. It may seem pointless with AI everywhere, but don't wait for a point to create, don't lose yourself in despair, every bit of human creation is precious in times like these, whether it's the message it conveys, the human aspect of the process, or simply as brief escapism from the world around us. Write, sketch, compose, rant, edit, upload, whatever medium it is, create it to create it! Please.
