A slow return...

Im beginning my slow crawl back into furry art, finding myself with a bit more time on my hands for the foreseeable future. That said, i wont necessarily be producing art in record time, but id like to at least start up again at my own pace.
Dont hesitate to drop me a line to say hi (read: im bored and lonely)
Im still very happy to do any requests or trades, so watch this space.

General | Posted 14 years ago im sorry i havent uploaded much in the last few months. Unfortunately, i have taken to experimenting with pencil drawing and shading. It leads to a lot of beautiful renderings of water/ eyes/ metallic objects/ sometimes complete faces, but not so much for the digital art that i upload onto FA .
Have i lost interest in furries!? hah, no. But i will be transitioning into a watcher for the time being (actually, for the last few months included).

i never expected this. i honestly didnt. i've started working, on average, 70 hours a week, and that is not including weekends on which i am rostered.
yes, im making a goddam killing. overtime is a goldmine. im richer than you. yes i am (well..maybe). but god, i barely have a minute to spend it.
my life these days is wake up, go to work, come home, eat, sleep and repeat.
could it suck more? why, it certainly could. as follows:
im hoping that maybe, people are willing to let my commitments go. i know, i've told people at some point they will get what the want. id love to fulfill my promises, but i cant forsee it happening.
a piece that previously would've taken mere hours now has spanned over a week. its disgusting, but i reiterate, i cannot cope. not at all.
im asking everyone who has asked something of me to excuse me.
if you cannot...note me. ill try my best to upload something every now and then, drawing is still my first priority when it comes to hobbies...

Requests
Yes, i do them. however, i am 1 person, so its difficult to choose between requests, as theres not enough time to do them all.
a somewhat impersonal note of 'hi draw my fursona kthxbye' will probably not convince me i should do it. talk to me a bit. the more i like you, the more likely it is you'll get your stuff done, and within reasonable time too. hell, sometimes i even offer to draw something without you even asking! how cool is that!?
Trades
trade with me! someone draw my fursona. no one has drawn the poor thing (with 1 exception- you know who you are)
Commissions
nada. zip. zilch. i dont need the money and i seriously don't have the time. so theres really no point in asking is there?
the main reason i do requests (as opposed to commissions) is because there is no deadline. so keep this in mind. if you want by a certain time, best to ask someone else.

General | Posted 15 years agomoving and work have got me in stress-mode, not enough money and not enough time. its a pain, really.

bar a day or 2 of hardcore studying, im going to be free and will like to offer up a couple of requests. it will not be first come first served, sorry. im looking for requests that are interesting and preferably something ive never done before.
a couple characters in somewhat dynamic poses would probably get picked. steer away from clean, thats boring lol.
leave a comment or send a note.

My First Prize

the only things i have ever won in a raffle are, in order of value:
1) a fly swatter (seriously)
However, that changed today. Today, one of the large companies in Australia held a seminar for people in my profession, and i think the only reason people went was because they were offering a 32GB Ipad as one of the major door prizes. you can see where this is going....
to go into the raffle, you had to RSVP before the seminar, and then they stick your name in a hat and draw it at the end of it all.
i totally won. At the end of the seminar, they randomly pulled a name out of a box, and it was mine. now i usually despise Apple products, but i wont say no to an expensive electronic gadget.
well, if i had the CHANCE, i wouldn't have said no. i only know all this happened because my colleague told me....thats right... although i did RSVP, i didnt turn up. i stayed in bed.
they redrew, and the prize went to someone else.

What is going on!?
General | Posted 15 years agoi found it very difficult to transition into digital art, i could never make the tablet do what i wanted it to do and id always end up going back to the pencils and inks. however, after a few months im now so used to my tablet that, today, when i pulled out the old, dusty sketchpad and started using my pencil i found myself using my left hand to 'press' CTRL-Z, amongst other hot keys i have bound. needless to say, my fingers only found the hard wooden desk, and id have to reach for the eraser instead.
why did i pull out the sketchpad, you ask? well, after yesterdays debacle with my computer (it freaked out a little bit), everything has seemingly gone haywire and now most of my drivers arent working. that means my tablet is frikin useless with no pressure sensitivity. im going to reformat its ass, but unfortunately my original CDs have been left at my sisters place (she lives in brisbane, i live in melbourne) and i have to wait for them to be sent over.
TL; DR version- nothing important
just a little calm ranting.

if you are going to request, make my life easier:
1. please state what you want, dont just send me a character ref. if this happens, i will take it upon myself to draw whatever the hell i like with your character, and it will be clean (i have the most fun with these types of requests, though)
2. on a similar note, dont ask me for something and not link me to a reference. i dont mind navigating your page but it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what you want (obvious exception is a character ref request)
3. please check your inbox, and reply to the messages i may send. if you dont, i wont do the request. its that simple. other people will reply, and ill do theirs instead =P
4. i tend to be quite diverse with my style. if you see a style you like from my previous pics and want me to do it like that, send a link to that pic. otherwise it'll be like no. 1, ill do whatever the hell i like =D
5. if you use my email address (on my home page) i will love you. i cant stand the message system on FA.
i draw when i have time, and i never have time. life can suck sometimes.
so, with that said, request away, I've got a holiday coming up, and bar a couple of requests i have in limbo, i should be free. don't be shy, im always looking for new things to draw.
