you think you have bad luck? read on....
the only things i have ever won in a raffle are, in order of value:
1) a fly swatter (seriously)
However, that changed today. Today, one of the large companies in Australia held a seminar for people in my profession, and i think the only reason people went was because they were offering a 32GB Ipad as one of the major door prizes. you can see where this is going....
to go into the raffle, you had to RSVP before the seminar, and then they stick your name in a hat and draw it at the end of it all.
i totally won. At the end of the seminar, they randomly pulled a name out of a box, and it was mine. now i usually despise Apple products, but i wont say no to an expensive electronic gadget.
well, if i had the CHANCE, i wouldn't have said no. i only know all this happened because my colleague told me....thats right... although i did RSVP, i didnt turn up. i stayed in bed.
they redrew, and the prize went to someone else.
