There's a time when I consider my options and as extensive as they are I feel there's something not quite right with them and god help me what could I do to get rid of that feeling. Lets tally the mediums.
I posess an extensive collection of games, each on multiple platforms. Needless to say I own essentially all consoles and handhelds to date, aside from 'rehashed' ones such as the PSP-whateverthefux 4000 they do now. And the PS3, Because it's nothing more than a very expensive Blu-Ray player.
I also posess enough creative juice to drown Neil Buchanan (dunno who that is? Shame on you!) drown, but not exactly expressable in a medium FA or most would find favourable - the medium of text. Based on my average typing speed of 100 wpm (not accounting for typo correction which I rarely do in creative text) and my bizarrely quick 'on the spot' thinking times. Which in itself is strange, I seem able to spark up characters, plots, ideas, shit like that as I go along, typing away like a Court Typist on crack and not typing anything of value to society. It varies, actually. Could gambit from normal fiction to straight up sexual frustration venting and writing some insane smut things. All the shit I write, unless it's exceptionally extensive, takes an hour or less, once started, to finish. My only exception to this was a pseudo-commission (essentially did some writing for a good friend of mine who bought something for someone I know as compensation) and a gift story I'm actually not too proud of due to lacklustre details and lacking that usual...feel to my text. 'Rushed', you could say is the correct gesture here. Some people saw it but it was only for them as they were the ones involved inside the story - Using their characters as we had arranged. THAT took me 8 months, but this was accompanied by 7 and a half months of 'Meh I'll do it later', accompanied by events/holidays that disrupted my thinking time. The pseudo-commission took just as long, but I chose to completely re-write it close to his birthday (I never told him I did it TWICE in fact but now he read this maybe he might ask me about it) and completed the thing in five hours of non-stop typing.
Like my history exam, I lost most of the sensations in my hands that day (all masturbatory jokes aside).
It takes one hour from start to finish, for about 15-25KBs of text in a Wordpad (I get along with it incredibly well) file, usually about 17-18. Sometimes even 9 if I just lose utter faith.
Pseudo-commission was close to 80 KB. Gift for friends I'd rather not see the light of day of again (the file, not my friends) - Approximately 75-80 KB?
Why'd I bother though? Dunno. The off-chance I get something someone will like because I don't even fucking bother with Lucario the Murrific or Renamon the Yiffatron and all those fucking idiots. But I covered this in another rant I think so I'll drop it there. Continuing on.
The off-chance I get something someone will like in my text is incredibly rare. Here's the thing. 75% of my work in the story-based field involve my own characters majorically, there may be others belonging to friends, and even once or twice requested characters...But the point still stands, my work could be actually seen as somewhat egotistical because of this, Is it? Keep in mind those of you here I know from SL I will most likely pester you for an answer (and if I get a 'say what' out of you that just means yer being silly) about it. To write about your own characters or have them interact with others, but yet portray characters belonging to other people in a very accurate fashion...Is that egotistical? It's odd really. I just like the backstories, the details, the background, the little things.

Detail explanation why below~!Okay so it's a GREAT concept, it really is. Find your target, act as an NPC, hide and walk away from people, kill your targets stealthily whilst avoiding people killing you (based on gametype). Amazing concept, it is.
But it got ruined quickly enough.
No matter what game type it is, you will no doubt get 5 people all using the Prowler Persona, all using Hidden Guns, ALL running around and leaping over roofs and being less stealthy than a Mardi Gras parade. They will use cheap, lame tactics to score a minimal amount of points and bitch if they lose. They will spam their Hidden Gun, they will kill EVERY persona around that resembles yours or others, and do it all the time. For the entire match, regardless of play type. They will run around the roofs and shit, acting like it's fucking Cowa Doody**.
To give an example of the bitching, the AC Brotherhood forums recently had a dumbass post on it. I can't remember all of it, but I know what it said, I will paraphrase...And give it proper grammar/spelling.
"I think the multiplayer sucks, I'm running around and using the Gun on people all the time and getting points, but one guy on the game made two stealth kills and won the match. This is bullshit, why should he win for getting two kills instead of me making like 5?"

I repeated this, re-doing the fight as I felt I was at a good level.
So I decided to at least cheese it and Summon Rush this once...So I did, right?

You see, Dullahan learned a new move since The Lost Age. He can take any of your Standby Djinn and Summon whatever he likes, and not only does it whip your shit, it will also set those Djinn on Recover. Assuming you survive.
Fuck. I've spent an hour on this trying to....beat this fuck. Apparently he still has Djinn Storm too.

Sonic's birthday? (brace for mild rant)
General | Posted 16 years agoSonic's birthday? Nice to know. I'm quite happy, actually, I grew up with Sega and Nintendo. Sega moreso as I had a Mega Drive. MEGA DRIVE. Not 'Genesis'. I have a Mega Drive, not a goddamn Final Fantasy-sounding thing. Silly America.
So, today is the day, that 19 years ago, Sonic was born. Brought joy to the younger people in those days (I was born in 1989, arguably the best year to be born in for gaming) and endless delight to those who found themselves naturally attracted to technology.
However. As it is the birthday of childhood heroes.
Cue the tumor-inducing kaleidoscope of recolors and mary-sues being 'ttly bistest frendz 4eva wif sunik' and all that crap. You know, some shitty screenshot or 'drawn-well-but-recolor-nonetheless' or 'shitty unoriginality SHADOW CLONE BROTHER OF THE ULTIMATE LIFEFORM' and so on. The epitome of these things, you know, like a blue Amy or a green Tails or a black/red Knuckles or something like that. Drawn with Sonic or some crap. You all know what I'm talking about. You've all seen it. Seen it in your waking nightmare of FA or DA browsing (or SA or FAP if you're that desperate). The horribly drawn pictures, or the 'art style is actually quite nice but the character is fucking godawful' and such. You all know how it is. How some person sees a Sonic character and has the original idea of drawing THEIR murrsona or characters with canon and treat it as canon. That they expect to see their character in the games or in the comics (as confusing as they are in my opinion) or to be in official media. Oh hell, I've seen plenty of people EDIT official media with MSPaint and do unmentionable things to screenshots of Sonic X or the old AoStH/SatAM cartoons. Seen plenty of people abuse and malignify the fuck out of things that have the potential to be so beautiful and worth keeping for future generations. Then I remember the future generation is always going to be 13 year olds who think their Sonic/Shadow/Knuckles/Tails clones are the most original thing ever since the Rubik's Cube.
I'm all fine for fan-art, I can name you a lot of people who draw actually awesome, nice things of Sonic and his comeraderie of companions. I can show you beautiful things, where there's not one trace of 'original character' or 'thisis how sonic should be' or 'this is my character zonis/konis/monic/tonic/ronic/sunic/cinos/tinoc/shadic/runic/tunic/zunic/cinis/speedy/mach/megafast/paul/david davidson the hedgehog'
I can show you people who are really DESERVING of genuine praise like that because they don't just draw Sonic-related stuff all the time. Or they draw it out of context or non-canon, something genuinely awesome or silly.
TL;DR : Incoming fail at all angles, Captain, brace for increased drama.
EDIT : I re-read what I wrote about the whole onslaught of incoming shitty Sonic art, and I realised that it happens enough already, let alone today of all days.
EDIT II : You may think this is rich coming from me, as I have some of those very types, the Sonic 'fan characters'. But hey. I don't associate with canon faggotry. My stuff is my own doing, I don't go about screaming 'DO NTO STEAL THIS IS SONICS BOYFRIEND' or something.

General | Posted 16 years agoSo it seems my two-parter is getting somewhat popular. That's good, it's what I hoped, perhaps my ex-famousness can be revived once more. Which is good. Shame it's not so popular on FA since it's primarily based upon artwhores, more than people who prefer to read something which has effort put into it. Yiffyaff murry purry typical furries.
Of course, where do I take it from here? It's open-ended as far as I'm aware, this is Mobius, the world of infinite size and Zones. The reason as to why I use Mobius is because they were the best locations in Sonic games. Sure, I could use levels form other games (like Crimson Carnival and Digital Circuit) but they'd have to be Zones. Of course, as Mobius, there's going to be NO humans other than Eggman himself, as it was always meant to be. Anthro at the most, Mobians yes. Now, I'm not against humans* or anything, but I just don't see why there should be more in Mobius, since Eggman was always the only one in games.
So, this is where the people who have read it so far can come in. I made a moderately useful poll regarding it, but there's only so many options to create. So why don;t you all just comment on this Journal with your ideas, I may even use them. Since I could always use help with these things, you know?
By the way, since
ChaosCroc is the only one I know so far promoting the two-part-and-maybe-more-eventually series, it'd be nice if you did the same thing, ya know? So more people read about it and so on. Just warn them in advance it's a Sonic fanfic thing, since a lot of people can be rather discerning and rather hateful of the Sonic fancommunity, even though I'm one of the few good people who can create ORIGINAL shit.

Okay, as you all know, I wrote that moderately okay fiction thing, Eggman's Grand Plan. And as such, D-Tard ( ChaosCroc to those who don't know him well enough) sorta advertised it here and there. DA and FA. Here. There. As such, it took a while to receive any attention, but given what I have of it so far, it's been a somewhat good success. I'm actually getting comments about it, and apparently it's really good. So as a sort of response to this, I continued it. I wrote a longer thing, with more detail and backstory (I think). Given that I always got attention from specific people about what I wrote, it's sort of...encouraging to hear people I've never heard of and/or met say good things about it. It kinda makes my day, seeing as how down I am these days. I sorta need the compliments. So, as a sort of...thanks, I just finished up the 'sequel', but I can't upload it anywhere yet. For one, Microsoft Word 2007 sucks ass, I've used that 'grace period' and can't use spell check, and Wordpad doesn't have spell check. So what do I do? I'm all-in-all willing to put the sequel on DA/FA, but how can I expect it to be any good if it's got typos? I know I went through it like three times but I'm sure I keep missing out, on words like effecient, robotisize (that's how I spell it anyway), and other such longish words I don't use every day.
I'm not favouring the strangers/so on over the people that have been faithful to my creations since I started doing it, but I like to hear it from more people than I usually do, you know? I'm not saying I'm bored of it, god no, I'mjust saying like...I want more people to acknowledge my stuff too. I haven't forgotten I still owe a few fics to some people, particularly my girlfriend
Floof and I also have one to do for 
kyo_sonikku since she sorta deserves it after giving me a metric fuckton of ideas. That and I wanna enter a contest for once. I coulda entered Sky's (
SpaceFoxy), but...well, it was an art one. I can't draw for lactose-intolerant beans. :3
Now until I can work out how to save as a .doc with Wordpad (I can't use Word as I said), then Part 1 AND 2 won't be up on here. Since FA users are SO GODDAMN FUSSY over filetypes that they can't download a measly less-than-ten KB .rtf file...
So until then, "Eggman's Grand Plan" and "Eggman's Grand Plan : Let's Deux This", is on hold.

I don't upload much because I don't feel I SHOULD upload it. It's not my art, I didn't draw it...It may be of my characters, it may be of a joke we came up with, etcetera, but regardless. I don't feel it's right, y'know? I know other people do it, like if they commissioned an artist, the commissioner and the commissioned will put the end results in their gallery, since...Yeah.
I dunno why I feel so bad about it. I have loads of art, too, absolutely loads, from Floof kyo_sonikku ChaosCroc SpaceFoxy* and so on so forth, but I dunno...It's their art, it should only really be in THEIR gallery.
