The long goodbye

There's nothing quite as jarring as loosing your best friend, but in the end, he couldn't overcome his personal demons. Tuesday night. He was a force of nature, and a great troll but more importantly he was a creative force to be reckoned with. He hated furries, but he was okay with me. He gave me 6 years of good memories and frankly, I still don't accept the truth on some level. I woke up thinking it was a sick joke simply because that's the kind of guy he was. He was too proud to ask for help, and succumb to his opioid addiction. It just goes to show you the power of Addiction. It's a virus that infects your mind, Relapse can hit at any time, and with such a dangerous drug it can very realistically be the last. I guess it's my human quirk of trying to give meaning beyond death, but I want to say if you know an addict treat their disease seriously. I'll miss you Holt.
