Hey Dreamwalkers!

I hope you've all stayed safe during this global pandemic.

I wanted to take some time to bring a bit of good news during this crazy year!

I've taken over the dream that was Sanctum Polis - Rest Eternal Memory and am currently working toward creating a Spiritual Successor who's title will be revealed at a later date.

A little about me, my company is called Muse Essentials LLC, and I'm a web developer, artist, writer, and graphic designer. You can call me MEL for now. I also sell some stuff on Amazon if you ever come across my company there. You have to do what you must to survive.

Which brings me to reviving Sanctum Polis; I've taken quite some time to pull all the pieces together to restart this project and I won't lie, it's literally just getting started despite all the leg work I've already put in to get to this point.

All that said, how many Dreamwalkers are still out there who can help me keep this dream alive!?

That's Incredible! We need to take a comparison photo when the new project builds back up to having a booth at various conventions. Was Drake your favorite character? What about him did you like?

My hair is much shorter now eheh. I really fancied scales at the time, so I loved his design. I feel like I was also interested in the house he was in, but it's been a long while.

I'm mostly fond of action adventure games, or metroidvanias. But I also really liked the story aspect and the artwork.
Try to think of something unique. A unique, fun mechanic.

Absolutely! Part of what ended the original project was that an RPG is too massive of an undertaking for a small indie company to start with. It's definitely a goal I hope to obtain some day because I love the genre! Right now though, I'm looking into all possible avenues as to how this project can expand and not run into the same issues as before. Are there any other game genres you'd love to see this story come to life in? Tactics, Platform, Mobile Idle, or maybe the first focus should be on a movie or a Netflix TV series? I want you, the fans, to help decide and shape this project's future!!

Well, RPGs are actually my favorite game genre. But if I were to mix another, I would either pick Eldritch (Lovcraftian or Stephen King) style horror, or SciFi involving mechs. However for this game, definitely go horror RPG since we're obviously dealing with dreams. The enemies could represent negativity and/or fears. As for protagonists, I say keep Claxton, but give us dreamers (Players) the freedom to create our own characters to join him on his journeys. As for combat, perhaps a turn based or active time battle system similar to Final Fantasy 4 to 9. You can let me know either here in comments or privately in notes what you think if you wish.

That's definitely close to what the original team had in mind for Sanctum Polis. If I can get a good team together to tackle that vision, then I'm all for it!

Thank you. Including fan characters is a legacy I definitely seek to honor, but for now I ask that you only show support with your words and ideas; at least until this revival starts walking instead of crawling and has a more solid foundation under its feet.

The first time, when i have seen the trailer and the artworks of this game ich thought, it would be great to play it.
I know what it means when a project will not go forward, but i am glad to read that not everything will be lost.

I love RPG's and adventures, if it woud be something like this, i would pay for that.^^

I recommend making a discord server if you haven't already.
Its a good way for the fans to communicate and see updates when they happen. ^w^

So what happened to all the money and donations given for this to become a thing the first time? I really wanted this to happen but, nothing did.

To my understanding, the money donated was discussed with donators 4 years ago when the project first went on hiatus. Quadrangle Games has since disbanded and Sanctum Polis, for all intents and purposes, is officially over. This is why I'm in the process of reviving this page as a spiritual successor. I encourage fans not to donate any money to this project until it has a much more solid foundation.
