Help to fight the Covid19 with your computer

Hello all.
If I tell you there is another way to fight the Covid19 than staying home?
It's staying home while helping medical research with your PC!

I already mentionned such projects here (Folding@Home, World Community Grid), but I think in these times of pandemia, most of us feel more concerned about this
Thank you for ready and take careof yourself and your relatives!

FA+

I would do this. Working on it now, she's hella beefy and I'm sure that she'd do well in assisting.
Talk with him about it first, ok? ^^'
But as a possible solution: swap out the hard drive so you can still make use of the rest of the hardware?
My systems been contributing when im not using it, im at 190 WUs completed and just past 8 million points :)
I'm at almost 20 000 WU on WCG for about 9.5 years of cpu time.
But on FAH only 2 WU for now XD
I do grid computing since 2008 but I must admit I started FAH only when they announced they worked on Covid (the project I'm loyal to being the World Community Grid)
Currently I'm trying to put more hardware to work too, a 11 years old PC I plan to modernize with a P106-90 graphic card (it was a bargain). So I can give a "powerhouse" GPU to this old PC so it can use it to provide a decent amount of computation. Because in it's current state it's only a waste of electricity, lol.
Miners sell them because not powerful/profitable enough anymore, and gamers are obviously not interested in the (even if you can somewhat crack it, it requires work and another gpu to handle the connection to display) so I got one for really cheap, on eBay.
It's perfect for this kind of use, since I plan to make it "mining science", not gaming
I got it here (package still on its way though, still waiting for it) : https://www.ebay.com/itm/ZOTAC-P106.....0/264689028104
Just one warning, unlike what the title say, it's not a GTX 1060-like (that is the P106-100) but a GTX 1050 Ti-like (but still a bargain regarding the power for price)
