I've tried to make more concrete, ambitious resolutions in years past, and I almost always fail to make them, so this year I decided to make my resolution more attainable.
Therefore, my resolution for the New Year was to buy a waffle maker and actually use it. Resolution success rate: 100%. My resolution is done and successful.
And yummy.
SERIOUSLY.
I could think of a great many more important things I could resolve to do with my time in the New Year. I know this. I chose to make my resolution simple this year to see what happens.
What happened was waffles. Tasty, golden, yummy waffles. With syrup and jam. Take THAT, 2019!
