Once upon a time long ago there lived a prince. He was kind and gentle and loved by all the people whom he visited often. He spent his life with his subjects, playing with the children and tending to the wounds of the soliders and helping farmers with the lands. One day a wicked witch who was envious of the prince met him and asked him to marry, to that he replied. “My heart belongs to another but if you didnt curse the people and bring terror upon the people then maybe one of them would become your true love…"
When the witch heard those words she became filled with rage and started screaming and cast a curse onto the prince. “You shall freeze and forget and die. forgotten and lost from the moment you are the most happy." After that, she vanished but the prince remained unharmed.
One month later, under the light of the full moon there was a great wedding. The prince and his love became married and the gods smiled and let the first snow of winter become the princes suit and made the land beautiful with snow. But when the feast was prepared and everyone was enjoying the delicious feast, the wicked witch appeared in front of everyone. "On this day i curse you prince of this land. Trapped and forever alone. Never to smile or cry.”
As she screamed these words the prince got to his feet along with his newly wed husband and held him close. "Time will go on but you will never move. you shall die and be forgotten forever whilst you watch your kingdom fall to ruin." Her screams echoed over the lands and when her last words left her lips a crystal appeared on the chest of the prince and consumed him and grew and pushed away the husband whom the prince reached out for as he froze.
The witch vanished and the people cried for their beloved prince. The husband summoned all those able to use magic to try and break the curse of his loved one. Sadly nobody could and the witch was never found. The husband became king and led as the prince would have done. But every year, on the day of the anniversary of the wedding, the people and gods alike mourned over the prince, frozen in time for all eternity…
