My mother, father, my oldest sister, and my brother-in-law hate furries, too. I asked them, "Why?" and they said, "It's a fetish! They're people who have sex in animal costumes!" I glared at them for a moment and asked, "Where did you get that from?" My oldest sister first got it from 4chan and then told my parents and her husband. Fucking 4chan! Can you believe it?! This was back in October 1, 2003, back when 4chan was brand new online and a lot of people used it. It was also back when I was 7-years-old and didn't know a whole lot about how computers worked or even new what furries were. So, there was nothing I could do back then. 30 days later, on October 30, 2003, is when the CSI episode "Fur and Loathing," aired. And yes, my parents were major fans of that show. There's no doubt they saw it. So, now almost all of my family is now forever brainwashed into believing that shit and there's nothing I can do to change their views. Trust me, I've tried. Thank fuck I still have my other older sister and her boyfriend who were not only a hell of a lot smarter to do real research, but are also actual furries themselves as well.

People wonder why furries get so, "butthurt," when it comes to media, well this wouldn't be such a hot button issue if people didn't actually buy into this shit and believe EVERYTHING they see on TV. It's really sad to see how easily swindled and brainwashed some people can actually be.

And media is probably one of the worst things for all of it. It gets attention when you attack someone, and they care more about those views than anything else. Mr.Repzion tweeted out that he doesn't care he hurt some people and just wanted views. So it will likely be an uphill battle, possibly forever.

Don't be so hard on yourself Buck. If your real life friends can't accept that you are a furry, then they were never your real friends. Fuck those type of people and be who you are/want to be. The video was brilliant and really touches well on the subject.

It's tough because this video wont get shared. Probably at all. But the hate video I mention got hundreds of shares. It's the world we live in.

And no matter what, I will always listen to criticism. And I always hear the negative more than the positive. So when a friend laughs at furries killing themselves, that's what resonates with me. Not even 1,000 people telling me she is wrong will change that.
