SnK Much?

So I just noticed that Shingeki no Kyojin is the hit rage (next to Free! and SHSL) all over the internet and my friends suggested that I should watch it. I assumed that it was going to be a half serious anime, much like Fairy Tail or Utawaremono. But, /THEY LIED./ After the first episode, I was trying to decide whether or not I should watch the series. And GOD I was TRAUMATIZED. I'm not even kidding.
But guess what I did? I watched more of it. Then after getting into episode 4-9, I nearly /STOPPED/ watching it entirely because THE CHARACTERS I LIKED /DIED./ That's right. DIED. After being introduced into the series, the writers were dickish enough to kill them off in the matter of episodes. I was really mad. Getting to the part where Eren was devoured by the titan (that looked like passive Jesus hurr hurr), I was going to be like, "I am so done." Killing off the supporting characters early was enough, but killing off the MAIN character?! That is overkill!
But that's when it really gets interesting. He turns into a titan. How cool is that?
Once I got past the titan-arc, the series is not all that bad (but still gruesome). From that day forward, I became addicted to the show. There were parts I laughed at, but what can I say?
Anyone that is a bit skeptical on watching Shingeki no Kyojin also known as Attack On Titan, I reconmend anyone that like action, good animation, a solid storyline, and a fan of Death Note.
[Just so you know, SnK is literally EVERYWHERE. Look it up on deviantART, FurAffinity, Google, Bing, Safebooru, Danbooru, Gelbooru, Pixiv, etc. I guarantee you that you will find any hint of SnK.]
