Did you make sure it's the right file format?

Well, I make my icon, then when I pit It in and say 'submit' my icon doesn't come up.

Ah yes. But tje icon appears in a little grid below afterwards, right?

Click it once to "choose it" from the "list" of avatar you uploaded, then wait a bit, then hit F5, it should work then.
