I just started a second blog. I’ve been wanting to do this for some time now, so here it is:
How Do Ponies Work?
I’m spending WAY too much time thinking about mlp and so I’ve decided to aim my obsession towards a practical purpose. I want to work towards understanding why the series affects me (and so many others) so strongly, by analyzing it and trying to figure out what it does right and what it does wrong, in order to apply techniques from the show to my own work in a smart way without just copying it mindlessly. So in this new blog I’ll be sharing my thoughts on that subject.
This also gives me a place to post pony-related art so it doesn’t end up taking over my main tumblr and my gallery here. And I GUESS that’s a good thing.

Oh my god, YES! I *hate* that. I didn't realize it until now, but I have actually been watching for that in MLP, and every time Pinkie would be her crazy self, I would give an inward sigh of relief, seeing that she hasn't changed.
Maybe I'll draw Firelight as one. :3
Seriously, though, this blog is all at once cute, funny, and thought-provoking. Brilliant as usual!
The Equestria being crafted by the writers is surprisingly complex, consistent, and nurturing to the audience, both young and old alike. Your observation of the reconstruction aspect of the story is quite interesting and appears valid.
It was quite interesting to see the early racism between the three races and I'm curious to see further ramifications and subtle remnants in their society. That and I am fascinated by the affect of routine telekinetic ability on a race.
