Paypal was founded by Peter Thiel and Elon Musk, among others. They both still have a hand in it, even if they no longer officially do. Thiel is also a founder of Palantir and its current chairman. I don't gotta tell you anything else bout the other rat.

artist pal of mine has stuck with a combo of venmo, chime n cashapp after getting booted off paypal too, the fact they can do tht is fcking ridiculous

I use cashapp/venmo and stripe since I'm in the same boat.

Cashapp and venmo are fucking great but unfortunately solely a US company so I missed out on being able to take out of country commissions until I started being able to use my partners paypal.

I use Venmo and sometimes Cashapp too. While I don't take commissions, I use still use them weekly if not almost daily for sending payments to people. I recommend them if nothing else happens to work out for you, since, from my understanding, Venmo is owned by Paypal but just has a more person-to-person focus vs professional/biz/vending that one that PP seems to front as...?

Also, I have heard of the rise in use of one called "Wise" and "Revolut" especially for international payments, but I honestly know little to nothing about either of them.

Sorry that happened to you and you have to look for an alternative method now. People have been getting their Patreons taken down too for hosting their nsfw content, it's all absolutely ridiculous hogwash. Best of luck to you with replacing it as seamlessly as possible

The same thing happened to me
I had my paypal since 2014, but they killed my account a couple years ago. They also swiped $500 from my account with no way to return it, and they wouldn’t help me at all. The only access I have to the account is to add money for the missing $500 they took.

They claimed I had no proof of product/shipping and just shut me down like that. I sent 40 transaction and product(art) proofs it took me ages to compile but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t even nsfw art 99% of the time.

I wont lie, so many if my clients will ONLY use or be able to use paypal, and it has fucked me over BAD. Im lucky to have a friend with paypal who doesn’t mind being a middle man for me, otherwise Id have lost out on a LOT.

I use Cashapp, and Venmo. I also use Zelle which is direct bak transfers with no fees. And I do have an iphone so Applepay. I also set up stripe, though it mandatory holds your money for a long ass time the first payment, and payments after that its about a 3 day hold period.

Though, with non US clients a lot of those will not work, so there is the issue.

i know a lot of folks who use stripe for invoices & such :0 i'm not super familiar with it but i've heard a few folks now recommend it

I myself am also looking for alternatives, but many other payment processors seem to be strictly for America and nothing international..

I know Stripe and Revolut accept international payment processing though.

I use Square as an alternative sometimes! It's odd getting used to it after so many years using Paypal but it does a good job compiling and showing helpful business performance information. It could be worth looking into, not sure if they police things as strictly though!
