My health insurance is fine for now

Well, it turns out my health insurance is fine. It's probably because I barely use it. But I don't know if it'll stay that way. My parents on the other hand, are a different story. They use their health insurance a lot. My mother thought the second letter was for me. In part because she just assumed, and because her eyes are bad. But the other letter was for my dad. So they're the ones insurance wants another $200 a month from. My mother has been making every call she can think of for days. But I have no idea how it's going. She doesn't really want to talk about it. But anyplace I know she has called, either gives her the run around or can't help. So I have no idea how this'll pan out for them. As for me, things are ok. I've finally restarted my cash savings. Got about $380 in my safe. But I got to get new tags for my truck in April. That'll be another $200 out of my account. But the truck should pass. The engine sounds good, and the previous owners claimed it had a tuneup before I bought it.

Oy! I just registered my truck, and it was a little over $100. And DEQ inspection last I did it was $210. And new plates if needed are about $200 too. But in California, all of that is badly magnified. With smog laws too. It's no wonder two republicans have a strong chance of being elected governor over there right now. If you ever have to get out, southern or eastern Oregon might be ok for you. Or maybe somewhere in Nevada. But I'd have a backup plan to leave if I were you.
