Since when do Flash animations work again?

Today, and also a few days ago, I noticed that the Flash animations are working again; that is, they're playing. Is this something FA introduced? If it was ever confirmed by the staff, I wasn't aware of it.
I know I haven't added any add-ons to my browser – I use Opera – if it's not from FA. I can't say whether it was automatically added to Opera, but I was still surprised that they're playing again, at least on FA.
Therefore, an open question remains: do you know anything about when it started working again, or whether it's a built-in function of Opera or FA?
