Happy New Year to everyone! As promised, prices are going up a bit this year
All prices will now be based on the fullbody for $200, fullbody in latex or ammunition $250
Updated prices can be seen in the commissions -> https://www.furaffinity.net/commissions/nikanuar
There were many reasons for raising prices:
1. Skill
As my skill has grown, so has the time I spend making sure that the art is detailed and refined from all sides. I can spend more than 24 hours of pure time just on rendering, because I demand high-quality results from myself
2. Economy
Prices in my country have been rising for the last couple of years, and will definitely rise in the new year as well. Three years ago, I could afford to actively accumulate money, but this year I was only able to stay afloat. Just two unforeseen events knocked me out of my rut and emptied my piggy bank - the treatment of my lovely senior dog and the replacement of the pipe. My financial safety cushion never recovered since
3. Too much work
I work almost every day, and that's ONLY enough to keep me from going into debt? Maybe a little arrogance will help me have a little more free time
4. Same prices for years
It's amazing, but the rare adoptables I sell cost an average of $150. They cost the same 3 years ago. During these three years, the style, skill, and experience have increased, but I don't feel confident about raising prices for them. It's worth fixing it
5. The Passion Project
What is the meaning of life if all you do is work for survival without the prospects and plans for life? I am an ambitious person with big plans for life, and I have to set aside time for my passion project so that one day it will be completed. I hope that the price increase will give me more time for what makes me feel good about life
6. I`m popular now *nails emoji*
I've finally become popular enough (if 3.5k can be called popular, haha) to be able to say "come back next month for a commission." Isn't this an indicator that my value as an artist has grown a little?
7. The main reason
Actually, the main reason is that my prices haven't changed drastically... For about 4 years now. The price for fullbody is now $130-150, and 4 years ago it was $120. For a long time, I did not believe that I could afford to raise prices, since the FA and its audience are my only and main income, but now I feel stable enough to raise my value
To be honest, it seems to me that I could offend people by raising prices. I don't want to be a person who "only wants money," because I really do what I like as well. But, I think, in order to grow and move up, sometimes you need to go beyond your comfort zone. What if I could survive there too?
Sorry for the canvas of the text about such a small thing. Sometimes my self-esteem is very low, and I don't think I'm worthy of much. But I hope that you will be understanding. Thank you for your attention and happy New year again! I hope everything will be better this year
