Shortly after a heavy summer rain, perhaps on a day that dries quickly after. Go picking the crusty dead worms off the sidewalk.
Collect as many as you can. Wash em off. And place them in a pot.
Boil for at least ten minutes, or until correct texture.
Drain the worms, butter them, and sprinkle with Parmesan and fresh minced garlic.
I call this a bowl of goodles.
