Patreon alternatives you like?

General
I'm so fekkin' tired.
So Patreon is obviously testing the waters on how much GenAI bullshit they want to integrate, given some recent polls that went around in creators circles.
At this point, whether or not they actually implement anything, I do want to start investigating or setting up alternate hosting for paywalled content. The comic mostly just finances its own existence (commissioning artists, running limited print runs, attending SAFC 2024 and 2025) and there's a handful more years to go before the story wraps, so the cashflow helps.
I used to update ko-fi more back in the day, but traffic there was always low and the tools on the backend less sophisticated (although, that being said, Patreon keeps FUCKING with the backend in ways that make it so annoying to use, and yet I've been requesting a calendar view of scheduled posts since 2021). But so far it is the most likely candidate for me to go back in there and do some serious maintenance.
Are there any platforms you as a reader/patron find yourself using that are worth investigating?

I remember BuyMeACoffee got a bit of traction a bit back, but I donβt see it around all that often. I dunno if Iβve ever seen a Thorne link π€
But these are all helpful to follow up on! Thanks!
And for Throne, I think it's more oriented towards gift items for streamers, like an Amazon wishlist. But I've never used it, so I don't know if it maybe has other functionalities.
The smart thing is really to support as many of them as you can tolerate probably :D I'm probably a minority in disliking Subscribe Star, it's objectively better than patreon in most ways. Ko-fi is fine too, I don't have a problem with them.
But yeah, subscribestar does seem to be coming up a lot. May be worth investigating.
not to mention a major pain in the caboose!
Haven't had any experience with this kind of thing,
can only mention Boosty,
which is used as a PayPal alternative for the countries that can't use it,
don't know anything about their subscription mechanisms
or policies regarding genAI, though.
I think everyone should have this stance against this anti-human tech that helps no one aside from the billionaires forcing it on us.
Yeah, I mostly know Boosty through the large proportion of Russian furries on the platform, because I know it's better if you don't have access to American payment services. I may have to do some research!
taking the barest minimum of a moral stand to support
those who need protection is not only thanklessly dismissed,
but turns people against the person going out of their way
for the sake of others. You shouldn't be forced
to migrate from campfire to campfire
as the grey goo of AI drowns them
one by one.
