God, so true... I adore size stuff in general, but there's something EXTRA-special about shrinking! The extra powerlessness and struggle in a normal-sized world can be a lot of fun to deal with >w<

A very specific scenario I also love but rarely see done: Being unable to directly return to your original size, so you end up repeatedly making yourself shrink and grow to try getting back to it, constantly missing the mark by some amount. Even if you get CLOSE, you'll still be JUST small/large enough that things feel off~

that's something two of my sonas struggle with pretty often! One of them has had so many size-change-y potions that he's not sure Precisely what size he's supposed to be, so he just rolls with something around 5'6"-ish, and the other has a size that's tied directly to her energy and mood, so she's almost never exactly the same size as the day before :>

Ahhhh heck, I love both of those concepts, particularly the first one. It's always fascinating in size stuff and transformation when there's no clean "reversal" of an effect, so the only option is to try to "transform" back to your original self. It's bound not to end up perfect, and that twinge of still not quite being the true original you & adapting to that is a LOVELY long-term effect to geek about >w>
