August updates

General
Well, summer is in full swing, for better or worse.
The good:
I now have a working vehicle (paid in full, free and clear) which allows for some personal freedom, the option to work locally, and otherwise get things done
All of my paperwork has been submitted to the FAA for a position which, at this point, should just need the background check to clear, and i can start training.
(However given this is a SF-86 (the 10 year history) it might be a few months before i even have a date to work off of.)
I also took the dive and participated in ArtFight this year. Apologies to those who might have wanted to send me an attack and didn't know.
I wanted to keep it somewhat low-key since im frankly not much of an artist. But i will post both the works i got, AND the works i made.
The bad:
Short term job prospects are, well, not great. Although im putting a lot of effort into the FAA position, there's still a desperate need to keep the bills at bay.
This means finding about 1700-2000 a month to keep everything covered, anything less I end up bleeding savings. Which, i can do for a little bit, but not forever.
Longer term job prospects or more "professional" work is also looking rough right now, and anything remote work wise is almost a joke.
And August marks the first month where unemployment is 100% gone. So no support on that front. All in all, i'm not in danger, yet. There's still about 18k in outstanding debt to tackle, but it's manageable for the moment
But I will say that the lack of stability right now is not doing wonders for the mental and physical health.
So it looks like i'll be putting miles on car to door dash/uber to try and keep some sort of income going, hopefully enough to cover the monthlies,
or at the very least, stem the bleeding somewhat.
My birthday also happens to be next week on the 15th, so yay for that....
Honestly, the biggest present i could get would be a stable professional job for awhile...
Short of that, something seasonal with enough income to cover things and not be reliant on delivery would be nice too.
If anyone out there knows an I.T. department in need of either good support, or a systems admin, send me a note.
