I just finished watching a horror movie that is streaming right now on Tubi called "Lovely, Dark and Deep" and found it an excellent film, worthy of recommendation.
Georgina Campbell stars as an issolated park ranger with unresolved childhood trauma. She patrols a haunted forest where people frequently go missing. When she takes something from the forest, the forest demands she replace what was lost.
First time director Teresa Sutherland does an excellent job keeping the atmosphere eerie and interesting, especially impressive due to the vast majority of the film being the protagonist acting in scenes alone. Jump scares are very limited and the gore is barely there. Rather the horror comes from the protagonist's inner turmoil and the forest's mind games.
The film is fantastic, worthy of high praise. Pick a good night to watch this one before it's pulled off of Tubi.
