I don't think any of the more recent gallery sites that have popped up really have legs unfortunately. Regardless of people's concerns about Itaku's owners/rules I just don't like how that site makes everything a javascript-ass infinite scrolling feed.

Maybe furrynetwork sucks less now too? idk

it hasn't disappeared at least! hard to say if it'll have much extra activity until the changes here actually go through though.

Been using it for years. It's fine, but people complaining about not having an FA-sized userbase and not doing anything about it is tedious.

Inkbunny's actually doing fairly well, and a lot of artists joined it recently due to the new policy bullshit. It has everything FA should have: a blacklist system, name change system, can pile up a bunch of art into one submission.. etc. and the community's friendlier.

But yeah it's hard to think how you'd be able to picture the first announcement ever going down well, and this isn't much better.

And everyone knows Dragoneer owns the site!! the hypocrisy is really obvious, doesn't matter if technically behind the scenes he's not directly involved in these decisions (but he should be lmao). Hell I think all my faves from him are on pieces that probably need to go under these rules.

Oh, he has 100% liked a piece I did of vulpix. And if eevee isn't tolerable under new rules, no way in hell is vulpix.

Let's just call it what it is: they're lying.

I'm convinced they're going to sell FA, or at least have it become part of a bigger network just like they once did with IMVU, and the entity interested in buying this site demands strict rules on cub. This isn't a moral decision on their on vocation. They're likely in deep financial trouble (thus the hard push for FA+ some months ago) and this is a last straw attempt to stay afloat.

Inkbunny seems to be the de-facto non-FA place to go ATM. At least for those who can operate the blacklist.

Sadly Weasyl fell off hard a long time ago, never saw much action over there and I stuck around longer than most, I think. Haven't seen many people talking about going back lately.

Yeahh, very understandable why some people would find it unpalatable, blacklist or not, but it really does seem to be the only other place with real activity.

I am part of this problem, but a lotta art sites really just exist as postybirb destinations rather than places people actually *use*.
