Does FA normally have pop up ads?

I had FA whitelisted on my ad blocker because the ads were unobtrusive before and the site needs revenue somehow, but I just got a pop up ad along the bottom of the page when I was viewing a submission. It seemed really out of place and it went away when I turned my ad blocker back on, but because it was so weird, I was wondering if that's actually a feature of the site or if I somehow got infected with ad ware. Anyone else seen something like that before?

I been browsing FA for years and I never got a pop up ad. Maybe hopefully its an American thing and not ad ware?

I doubt it would be region-specific. The weird thing is that I checked around on other sites with my ad blocker disabled and didn't see any pop ups elsewhere.
