I noticed that my boyfriend (
Krostfox 's) avatar icon was quite old and had been used for .. like a year... so I decided tonight to quickly doodle him up a new avatar icon for his FA..
This took about an hour or 2.. I really don't know.. I never timed it or anything.. I wanted to make it dark and creepyish because I'm into dark and creepy things .. and there's too much fucking cutesy shit in the fandom...
FUCK YOU AND YOUR FUCKING CUTESY SHIT, FURFAGS!!!!! ...
Anyway.. yeah.. this is his new avatar.

Ah. I've used it, I'm using it at present, and personally, I'm not too impressed with it. Making good pictures isn't impossible, but it is harder than I'd like. Like for one thing, you can't shade anything. If you want the look of shading, you have to take your original color and darken it to make it look shadowy. I could go on, but you already know the rest, I'm sure.
Not true at all...
Go here to my art gallery and look at my works and how I've shaded them it'll give you some ideas -

That's very nice! I can do the same things, but I have to do it like how I said. But since you use Windows 7 Ultimate, your version of paint must be better than mine (I use Windows XP).
By the way, on your art account page, you have Vista listed as your operating system. Do you have more than one computer, or is that old information?

Oh, then how do you shad something? Are you able to do it without having to customize the base color and paint over the previous (unshaded) work?
I'm asking because I'd like to be able to shade something I've already drawn. Like take a daytime scene and make it look like evening, or make a room with lights on look like they've been turned off. But if I try to do that, it would turn the whole picture to a solid color. Windows Paint (at least my version) won't let you "layer" colors (put one color over another without hiding what's beneath) like you can with Photoshop (which I've seen used in streams) or traditional media.
